Scholarship Coverage
The Université de Montréal Scholarships will provide the following benefits:
Undergraduate:
The scholarship amount is entirely determined by the strength of your academic record. The analysis findings are categorized into three levels:
- Level A costs $11,998 per year, $5,999 per session, or $399 per credit.
- Level B: $5,718 per year, $2,859 per session, or $190.60 per credit.
- Level C costs $2,000 per year, $1,000 per session, or $66.67 per credit.
- These monies are applied to the annual tuition fee of $23,662.
Masters:
As an international student, you may be eligible for a partial tuition exemption award.
- $9,420 annually or $3,140 per session.
- This amount is applied to the $27,300 annual tuition fee.
PhD:
As an international student, you are eligible for a full waiver of the additional tuition fees that are typically imposed to international students.
- This exemption bursary allows you to pay the same tuition as Quebec graduate students.
- $19,339 per year, or $6,546 every session during the course of your study.
- This amount is applied to the $24,300 annual tuition fee.
Eligibility Criteria for the Université de Montréal Scholarships
To be eligible for the Global Excellence Postgraduate Taught Scholarship, the candidate must meet all of the following conditions:
- English is a necessary language.
- Eligible countries include all international countries.
- Applicants must have a study permit and cannot be permanent residents or Canadian citizens.
- Throughout their academic careers, students must be enrolled full-time in a study program.
- Must not be eligible for another type of tuition fee exemption under another policy or measure. For example, Francophone students in France and Belgium are currently qualified for this type of exemption.

1. Apply for admission.

2. Follow up on your application to see if you have received an admission offer.
You will receive your “Student Centre” access codes a few days after submitting your admissions application. This is the area where you can track your application and receive your acceptance letter.
3. Accept the admissions offer and start the evaluation procedure.
You do not have to apply for the UdeM Exemption Scholarship. New applications will be reviewed to determine eligibility and the amount of the exemption scholarship.
4. Receive your award notification and payment amount.
After receiving your admissions offer, the Université de Montréal will swiftly notify you via email of the amount of the scholarship to which you are eligible. Print and store this paper in a secure area. It will be handy for future reference.
